BEAST Mask

1980.  A Beast mask to color and cut out for Halloween.  Cut nose out along solid lines and fold up on dotted line.  Cut out eyes or prick holes in eyes to be able to see.  The directions are to cut along solid lines of mouth but I personally can't figure it out so maybe you guys will be able to cut the mouth right.  The mask has the holes marked on the sides to punch out for string or yarn to tie.  Could also be used as a window decoration.

A Cat Mask for You, M-E-O-W!!

1990.  For all the Jolly Birds.  Wear this mask and be the coolest cat in town this weekend.  "Rum Tum Tugger is a curious cat."  Okay, I was watching The Premiere Collection Encore by Andrew Lloyd Webber while preparing the BOOTS paper dolls to post.  Even though there are no songs from Cats on the video, I started singing about Rum Tum Tugger which then led to posting this goofy mask.  Gotta love David Essex performing "Oh, What a Circus".  Anyway, enjoy the weekend.

 October 27, 1949.  "Hi, Kids!  Here's Your BUD BOWMAN Halloween Mask."  A cute Halloween mask from a newspaper ad for BOWMAN MILK.

HERKY the Hawkeye Mask

August 17, 1997.  I think this mask looks a little like a toaster.  "Disguise self as HERKY THE HAWKEYE.  Cut out mask and attach strings to sides.  Tie mask on face and act crazy."  This mask is from an ad for the '97 Iowa Hawkeye Football team.

Newspaper HALLOWEEN Mask from 1970

 October 27, 1970.  "Play Trick or Trick on ROSELYN.  Cut out this Halloween mask.  Color it to your devilish delight.  Then accompanied by an adult wear it to your nearest ROSELYN Bakery.  Scare them, and they'll have a gobblin' good bag of treats just for you."  A Halloween mask from a ROSELYN Bakery ad.  All the ads have a little bit of the edge of the mask cut-off but that is easily fixed so get busy and "scare" your friends with this mask from 1970.

October 27, 1960.  I Like!!!  I could not wait until next Halloween to put this mask on my blog.  This has to be one of my favorite finds in the newspaper archives.  A PIGGLY WIGGLY Halloween mask from a store ad in an Iowan newspaper.  I will be donning my Piggly Wiggly mask and I hope you will too.
