March 20, 1966.
January 30, 1966. The year is 1966 and BOOTS and Rod, her husband, are travelling to Oxford, England where they will meet a young policeman named Endeavor Morse.
Hooray! ENDEAVOR series 2 has begun on PBS. I like everybody in the cast especially the actors that play Endeavor and Thursday. Still, neither ENDEAVOR nor LEWIS, as good as they are, can come close to the original MORSE, the best ever police drama.

A Big TEXAS Hug to PHIL COLLINS!
March 10, 1967. A movie coloring contest for John Wayne's "THE ALAMO".
1975 - 1978. A big TEXAS hug to Mr. Phil Collins. Thank you so much for your gift to the ALAMO Museum. The first rock concert I ever went to was January 1975 and the concert was THE LAMB LIES DOWN ON BROADWAY. I was 13 years old and I had never seen anyone as strange as Peter Gabriel. Phil Collins, with a wild mane of hair, was hidden behind the drum kit during most of the concert. After Peter Gabriel left the band, Phil Collins took center stage. The photo above was taken by my brother and it shows Phil Collins at the mike and Tony Banks at the keyboards. I also saw the band several times in the 1980's. Mr. Collins made this TEXAN very happy in the past with great times at concerts and very happy today when he gave his collection to the ALAMO museum.

FARRAH FAWCETT
March 1976. McCall's Magazine, page 57. A very pretty Farrah Fawcett in an ad for Wella Balsam Shampoo. I remember using that shampoo.
1979. I went to lots of movie screenings when I was a teenager. I would call in to different radio stations here in Houston and win tickets to go to local screenings. The radio stations would give away posters, T-shirts, movie cards (such as this one) and other assorted goodies at the movies - big fun! SUNBURN was one of the movies I won tickets to go see. A rather silly movie which only required that Farrah look good. Eventually Farrah received movie roles in which she proved she was a good actress and not just a pretty face. I truly admired how this Texan battled against her cancer - a battle she unfortunately lost.
